Ann & George’s Indian Orthodox Wedding

If there is such a thing as a professional wedding guest, then George is exactly that. The guy has practically attended as many weddings in the last year as most wedding photographers have covered. So it makes perfect sense that he'd meet the love of his life at one. And I'm so glad it led him to Ann, 'cause this girl just rocks. I happened to cover her brother's wedding just a few years back, so I was really excited to see the whole family again. Ann and George tied the knot at the beautiful St. Nektarios Greek Orthodox Church in South Charlotte and continued th[...]

Matt & Steph’s Botanical Garden Wedding

Matt and Steph complement each other perfectly. The two are witty as heck and always bring out the laughter in one another. So it makes sense that all of their friends and family would be just as amazing to meet and document at their wedding. Guests flew in from all over the world, from Austrailia to England, to take part in their beautiful day, which really proved how strong the relationships were among this hilarious, close-knit crew. It was hard to say who "won the prize" that night; everyone was drinking and busting moves on the dance floor thanks to the s[...]

Michael & Kelly’s Craft Brewery Wedding

Listening to Kelly and Michael tell the story of how they fell in love brought me to tears while filming their engagement session. Stories like theirs, which characterize the power of love and compassion prevailing life's deepest valleys of sadness, serves as a subtle reminder of just how important family is. I'm forever grateful to have had the privilege in covering this beautiful couple's wedding. Wishing these two a lifetime of adventure, good music and delicious beer together. Congratulations Michael and Kelly! Special thanks to Austin Comer for helping[...]

Adam & Rebecca’s Whitehead Manor Wedding

We bonded instantly. Sitting at a table in Caribou Coffee, I found out quickly that we all had a shared passion for college football, and it was was settled: I would be Adam and Rebecca's wedding videographer. Then they invited my husband and I out for beers a few months before the wedding just to hang out, laugh and drink. Then they suggested filming them riding bikes up to their favorite brewery, Wooden Robot, for their engagement story session. I mean, who is this awesome fairy tale couple!? Fun factor was out of control. Adam and Rebecca's wedding was[...]

Sarah & Jason’s Temple Beth El Wedding Reel

These two were one of the most enjoyable couples I've had the privilege to document in awhile. I was introduced to Sarah through the wonderful Gabe Cole (whose wedding I filmed last year), and I was so happy that she connected us. Sarah and Jason are the perfect amount of ying and yang. His cool-as-a cucumber vibe mellows out Sarah's high-energy, bubbly personality, and the two of them are nothing but laughs when they're together. It's hard not to be grinning around these two. Especially Jason; the professional actor/producer/comedian/rapper always has a witty[...]

Amber & Brian’s Charlotte City Club Wedding

Amber + Brian Wedding Highlight Reel from Tricia Coyne on Vimeo. This couple…man, where do I even begin? Nurse-Patient love story? Overcoming breast cancer? Prevailing city protests? I mean, seriously; their story is unforgettable. Apologize for the long blog post, but their story is just too good. Amber and Brian’s love story is filled with heartache, compassion, tribulation and joy, and as I listened to them, I couldn’t help but think that their relationship was the definition of love and strength. I’ve never cried while conducting a video inte[...]

Ben & Gabe’s Charlotte Wedding Highlight Reel

wedding rings invitiations

Ben and Gabe were such a pleasure to document. From "emotional" pre-wedding interviews, to hanging out with their spunky pup, Riley, we definitely had a good time getting to know each other before their wedding day. I'm so impressed with this couple, and even more impressed with the family and friends they surround themselves with.  So glad I got to be a part of their big day. Great vendors and hilarious reception toasts made their night one to remember. These two like to keep things low-key and intimate, so they chose the beautiful Byron's South[...]

Tanza & John’s Trolley Museum Wedding

big family wedding photo

I had been looking forward to Tanza and John's wedding all year. After photographing their engagement and family session, I felt like I had known them for years. These two are all about family, and they chose to have their small wedding at the wonderful Charlotte Trolley Museum in Southend. As usual, coordinator Jackie Fogartie did a beautiful job. We both agreed that their 30-person guest count was just the right size for the Museum's intimate space, and everything about their wedding was a perfect reflection of them: super laid-back, lighthearted, and filled[...]

Leena & Joseph’s Charlotte Wedding

candid bridal party photo

So happy to see these silly lovebirds finally tie the knot. I met Joe when he was planning his surprise proposal to Leena at Romare Bearden Park. Watching him guide her down to the water fountain, and seeing her hold back tears as he kneeled down with the Charlotte city skyline behind them was truly breathtaking. What a beautiful and memorable way to get the ball rolling! During their engagement shoot, I got to see just how much these two loved hanging out with each other. The fun, romantic vibe between them was so strong that I didn't even have to direct them[...]

Steve & John’s Midtown Park Wedding

wedding dogs with ties

I met Steve through a wonderful mutual friend, Genie Hufham. He helped Genie with redesigning her new business website, which featured a blog post I created about her city walking tours. I was so happy to get an inquiry from Steve about a last-minute wedding that he and his partner, John, decided to hold at the Little Sugar Creek Greenway in Midtown Park, Charlotte. I was so excited for them, and so thrilled to have the opportunity to read more[...]
