Leena & Joseph’s Charlotte Wedding

So happy to see these silly lovebirds finally tie the knot. I met Joe when he was planning his surprise proposal to Leena at Romare Bearden Park. Watching him guide her down to the water fountain, and seeing her hold back tears as he kneeled down with the Charlotte city skyline behind them was truly breathtaking. What a beautiful and memorable way to get the ball rolling! During their engagement shoot, I got to see just how much these two loved hanging out with each other. The fun, romantic vibe between them was so strong that I didn’t even have to direct them. It was all laughs, and their affection toward each other came so naturally. That chemistry was even more apparent on their wedding day. Joseph and Leena chose to marry at the gorgeous Cathedral of Saint Patrick in the heart of Dilworth. The one thing I’ll definitely always remember about their wedding day was just how fun and accommodating the bridal party was. As expected in late July, the weather was a cool 97 degrees. So, needless to say, we were sweatin’. But this bridal party took it all in stride and found ways to act goofy and make it a fun moment. The force was strong with this group. 😉

The party continued at Center Stage in NoDa. Their reception was beautifully decorated and the venue was the perfect place for everyone to throw down some killer moves on the dance floor. Leena and Joe went head-to-head in a Bride and Groom dance off – absolutely fantastic – and it was so great working and catching up with DJ Rang once again. He really knows how to bring the energy to a reception. Big thanks to Carter Short for helping me capture some great images. Can’t wait to see what is in store for these two beautiful people.
